Desert Orange

Hanging on to that youthful carefree elegance of yesteryear. I remember being there. It's a fleeting emotion that comes ever so often. You are there at the center of the earth and the collective energy envelopes you in every direction. The music seems to mean more when experienced together. The hot sun baking your skull probably gives you less capacity to really take too much more in. Everyone is electric. Everyone is young. Everyone is naive. There is a moment that can be grasped where you are not thinking about if you are cool enough, skinny enough or if that person is looking at you. It is in those moments where you feel humanity has a higher purpose other than the shallowness you fear on that long drive from LA. It is beautiful. The sun sets on the crowd and they all glow. Nature is the best filter. I take my shoes off and feel the matted grass beneath my toes. Is this how they felt in our parent's prime. They would tell us about the times when things were simpler and they were on the right side of history. When did they decide to turn their backs and switch sides? When did the "the man" become your father or mother. Maybe we will be different, maybe we won't. Time holds all truth and reveals when he really wants to punch you in the throat. Let me feel it now and hope it sticks. People start gathering, finding the perfect spot. Tonight we will live in the present. I remember...
