Trip Like I Do

I walk through night's forest.
The smell of earth is wrought in my nostrils.
In the distance is a soft blue light that permeates through the darkness.
Bewitched, I am drawn into the Indigo woodland.
Her languid body curled atop the fungal bed.
The smoke pours upward from her mouth through every sweet sound that escapes her lips.
The vaporous tendrils replace my breath and my head spins.
We are all taking the trip tonight.
I cannot tell you who the others are or what they look like because we are all faceless in the shadows of her presence.
My stomach feels warm inside with a hint of anxiety.
I know I must return.

But please just a little longer until the message has been received and reality comes grabbing for me.
I am calm in this place.
Who knows what horrors await me when I open my eyes.
How long does this last and is it morning yet?
